Membership
The Artists of Kerrisdale membership is maintained at 26 to facilitate organization of activities, space availability and to allow members greater opportunities for meaningful interaction. Memberships are generally reviewed in the fall at the beginning of our art year, which runs from September to May. New members are welcomed as vacancies arise throughout the year.
Artists who are interested in joining the Artists of Kerrisdale will be asked to familiarize themselves with its objectives and programs by reviewing the group's by-laws and new member information. An application for membership involves providing 3 samples of your art work to be juried by the Membership Committee.
Membership decisions are made on the basis of vacancies as well as the potential artistic and other contributions the applicant can make towards the group. Members are expected to participate regularly in the group's activities and to volunteer in running the Artists of Kerrisdale affairs.
The Artists of Kerrisdale takes pride in its long history, and welcomes new members both to maintain its traditions and bring in new energy, ideas and artistic styles.
